What Safety Rules of I need before booking a liveaboard

Do I need to have travel/dive Insurance?

  • It is not a must, but highly recommended to have a diving Insurance.

  • Your diving insurance should cover the expenses of the hyperbaric chamber and medical evacuation.

  • Dive Accident - In case of emergency we have:

             a. 50 liter oxygen tank

             b. A medic first aid box on board

How do I know which trip is right for me?

  • The right trip for you will depend on your diving experience, number of logged dives & your interests for example Wreck diving...

  • Egyptian Law recommends the following :

  1. Marine Park Cruises such as Brothers, Daedalus, Rocky, Zabargad) all guests have a minimum of 50 logged dives.

  2. Wrecks: All guests have a minimum of 50 logged dives.

  3. South & St. Johns: All guests have a minimum of 40 logged dives

  4. Fury Shoal & Safaga: All guests have a minimum of 30 logged dives.

How do I find out about entry visa ?

  • Most nationalities can get their entry visa upon arrival, it costs 25$. We can also arrange for Meet & Assist that costs 35$ including Visa Entry.

What general rules should I know before booking a liveaboard?

Bathrooms

  • Our Vessel has unsuited shower facilities for your comfort.

  • For Showering, we would recommend using the water as efficient as you can.

  • Please don’t throw anything in the toilet bowls, including toilet paper and sanitary pads to avoid toilet blocks.                                  

  Towels and Bed Sheets

  • Bathroom towels are provided to our guests.

  • Bed Sheets and Bathroom towels are  being changed every 3 day.

 Scuttles

  • Each cabin has scuttles, We suggest that you open them as often as possible to let in fresh air to compensate for the air condition. circulating the air. 

  Salon

  • Please do not use  shoes inside the Salon

  • Diving equipment is not allowed in the salon or the cabins.

  • The salon and cabins are strictly dry area.                               

  Upper Deck

  • It is not allowed to take bed sheets, covers or mattresses out of the cabin on the deck.

  • If you wish to sleep outside, please use a sleeping bag on the sundeck.

What Safety rules do I need to know before booking a liveaboard?

Charging of Electronic Devices

  • It is not recommended to charge any electronic devices in your cabin without your presence for safety   reasons. 

  • We have 220 volts power and we suggest that you bring a European, Asian or American normal adapter.

Dip Tank

  • No masks in dip tank please to avoid spreading infection if any exists. 

Health On board

  • On board we only have basic emergency medication in the safety box, like stomach and diarrhea medication, sea sickness tablets or plasters and ear drops.

What documents & equipment should I bring with me onboard?

Diving Equipment

  • It is required that each diver has the following Equipment:

       1.Dive computer

       2.Decompression table

       3.Depth gauge and watch

       4.A surface signaling device (SMB)

       5.Snorkel, Mask and fins 

       6.A regulator with alternate air source

       7.Torch

Documents Needed

  • Diving certificate

  • Diving insurance

  • Passport  that will be placed in a safety box in the reception

  • Fill the claims and hand it in to the dive guide

How is the weather at the Red Sea?

  • In the Red Sea we have a dry desert climate. You can expect a temperature of 35 C in the summer time. 

  • In the winter time it gets colder in the evenings and if there is wind it’s suggested that you bring a jacket. 

  • On the boat it is enough to bring light summer clothes and a Jacket for cold evenings.

  • Don't forget to have Sunblock, hat and your sunglasses.

Can I rent diving equipment on board?

  • We suggest if you need any rental equipment that you contact us before the arrival day by 1 week.

  • We have the most important spare part like mask and fin straps and the repair kit for some type of regulator, batteries, seals and bulbs for the torch.

  • Kindly pre-book your Nitrox and gases with us before your trip, as well as any courses or specialties.

What tips or gratitude is reasonable to give to the crew?

  • Like any other country, you are more than welcome to tip the crew if you are satisfied with the level of service that they have provided during your diving safari trip.

  • We suggest the tip between 70-120 euro per person for the whole trip of 7 nights.

Can you arrange transfer for me to/from the boat?

  • We can provide transfers from the airport to MY Galaxy 720 location at a Red Sea port upon request. 

  • Our representative will be waiting for you at the airport with a board with MY Galaxy 720 name.

  • The tour leader will assist with any flight or transfer problems. We also provide, upon request, Meet & Assist services inside the terminal, including entry visa, with extra fees.
